Online Webinar on True Facts About Covid-Associated Mucormycosis

The Department of Chemistry and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Dr. Patangrao Kadam Mahavidyalaya, Sangli conducted Online Webinar for teachers, students and stakeholders of society. The theme of Webinar was ‘True Facts About Covid-Associated Mucormycosis’. The main objective of Webinar is to make awareness among people about Mucormycosis infection. The Webinar session was conducted on Google meet platform on 12^th June 2021 (Saturday) 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. The 72 participants were participated in the webinar. 

The Webinar was graced by Prin. Dr. D. G. Kanase, Dr. A. R. Patil (Resource person), Dr. (Mrs.) P. M. Patil (In-charge, Science Faculty), Mr. T. R. Sawant (In-charge, Arts and Commerce faculty), and Dr. A. R. Supale ( Co-ordinator, IQAC). On the occasion, Dr. T. R. Lohar, (Convener of Webinar) gave welcome speech and introduced resource person. Dr. A. R. Supale apprised participants about theme of the webinar and its importance. The addressing the participants, Dr. Abhinandan R. Patil, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sanjay Ghodawat University, Atigre (Guest speaker of Webinar) gave detailed information about Mucormycosis infection. 

He interacted with participants about how covid-19 patients suffered from Black Fungus infection. He said that immunity is a key factor for any infectious disease. After the resource person lecture, there was a question-answer session. Dr. (Mrs. ) P. M. Patil (In-charge, Science Faculty) in her speech really appreciates and congratulate the team for organizing such type of webinar in College. Finally, Dr. R. N. Deshmukh concluded webinar by offering vote of thanks.
